Welcome to the new Cross Country Vehicles Motorsport website. It has been designed to give you an insight into the world of off road motorsport in the UK and more importantly the CCV team. We will keep you up to date with results and news as the season progresses.
Following the high expectations at the beginning of the season with the CCV MS Buggy sporting a new Supercharged engine and with Colway's excellent new Formula C-Trax off road competition tyre, the CCV motorsport team have struggled. Despite a win and several other podium finishs already this year the team have also had many disappointments. Non-finishers on both the Hillrallies so far and several problems in AWDC Championship rounds have effectively put the team out of the running for those championships. There is still a chance though in the British Off Road Championship.
The team are now preparing for the tough Goodyear Welsh Hillrally. This event should really test Colway's new tyres in the soft stuff and with the extra power from the Supercharged engine to play with Robin and Mick should be close to the front all weekend, and hopefully bring home a good result to brighten the end of the hillrally season.
Robin Rymell has certainly impressed many with his abilities and despite his mechanical problems this year the multiple ladies rally champions the Simmonite Sisters recently voted Robin their third best Hillrally driver in the UK in a recent issue of Land Rover World.
